TAGGED business development, New starter, strategy
Red River is delighted to announce the appointment of Tim Misson to the role of business development team lead. In this newly created position, Tim takes responsibility for continuing and accelerating our ongoing growth, by winning high-quality, sustainable new business, and deepening and extending existing client relationships.
Tim brings to the role more than 15 years of business development expertise, including six years as the co-founder of an award-winning business development and lead generation company, and three years as a consultant with Sales Engine, advising on bids, pitches and tender responses. More recently, Tim created from scratch an outbound sales development team at leading global social intelligence agency Brandwatch.
In his role at Red River, Tim will help to drive the company’s strategy and direction by helping to further define its offering, identify target markets, and communicate the excellence of its work. In his business development brief, Tim takes on challenges which have previously fallen to Red River’s founding directors, freeing them to focus on the company’s strategic direction, and on the continued development and delivery of excellent products and services.
Commenting on Tim’s appointment, Red River director Simon Pringle said: “Our aim is to be the go-to partner for creating tech products and the systems that run high-growth businesses. To achieve our ambition we must continue to evolve and grow, and Tim will play a key role in driving and supporting this.
“Tim’s involvement with Red River actually goes back to our beginnings: through his lead-generation business he helped us find some of our earliest clients, some of whom remain customers to this day.
In his role here, Tim will be dedicated to identifying and bringing on board the kind of clients and projects that will engage and fascinate the Red River team, enabling us to continue forging our reputation with peerless technology and systems.
“Bringing both a deep understanding of our business and extensive sales and business development experience, Tim is the perfect fit for this role – I’m excited to have him on board!”
Tim added: “I’ve long admired Red River, their work, and the way they trust and develop their own people. It’s a privilege to become part of a company that encourages you to learn, and a really interesting time to be joining: the past three years have seen turnover double, and an increase in new business such that it now represents 40% of our work.
“My challenge is to help continue this trend: growing and supporting the company by finding and scoring some big, interesting and exciting technology challenges. I’m motivated by the buzz of putting something brilliant in place, and knowing that I’m both providing our team of experts with a challenge they’ll love, and introducing a client to a transformative and enabling technology solution.”
*Sorry, we know it’s a terrible pun, we just couldn’t resist!
